Nadeo Importer is a tool to generate items that can be placed in Trackmania maps.
It allows you to turn .fbx
files (made with your favorite 3D software, such as Blender or 3ds Max) into .Item.Gbx
files, which will be recognized by the Trackmania map editor.
The official Nadeo Importer documentation covers both installation and instructions on how to use it.
There are multiple ways of getting your 3D objects into the game.
Whichever way you choose, your mesh will need to contain correctly laid-out UVs. Refer to the texture coordinates guide for an in-depth, technical look and best practices.
Importing your Trackmania route into 3D software takes some time to set up correctly; see the Ninja Ripper guide for step by step instructions and best practices.

Nadeo Importer doesn’t always give you straight-forward error codes and leaves you in the dark on why something went awry.
Several materials are not listed in the NadeoImporterMaterialLib.txt
by default, or are simply causing crashes in-game. Check the curated list of fixes if you run into any issues like that.
Are you noticing shadow artifacts on your created/imported meshes? After reading up on our Mesh vs Item guide you will have an understanding of the causes and fixes.
And if you’re tired of having to reboot the game every time you want to add an item to your Items folder, follow this tutorial by Juice.
