The profile options allow you to configure various things about your account. Certain customisation settings cannot be changed during gameplay.
- Nickname
Your Ubisoft Connect username. Can only be changed through Ubisoft Connect.
- Trigram
The three letters at the back of your car.
- Trails color
This is a colored trail line that your car leaves behind. On some maps this can be enabled and you can set the default color for your car here.
- Manage account on Player Page
Directs you to players.trackmania.com.
- Change location
Your location determines what leaderboards you belong to and your default car skin.
- E-mail address
Can be left blank.
- Receive mail about Trackmania
Mail is sent to address entered above.
- Copy account id
Your unique account ID.
- Display adverts
These are ads shown on the screens in the stadium ingame, can be anything. If you bought the game, you can turn this off.
- Enabled personalized ads
Allows the game to send out data about you in order to show targeted ads for you.

This cannot be changed.

Allows for precise steering with analog input.

Cycles through cameras 1 (Default or External), 2 (External 2), and 3 (Internal).
- Look Behind
Hold to look behind the car.
- Give up
Also called “retire”. Give up on your current attempt and return to the Start.
- Respawn
Return to the last checkpoint you activated, continuing with the same speed and angle.
- Secondary respawn
Return to the last checkpoint you activated, standing still. Double-tapping Respawn has the same effect.
- Action Slots
Limit your steering to a % of full steering. Currently (15-Mar-22) there are 5 action keys, corresponding to 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% steering. Pressing the activated action key again returns to 100% steering.
- Show/Hide Ghost
Toggles the visibility of your personal best ghost and ghosts of other players.
- Show/Hide Opponents
Toggles the visibility of live opponents.
- Save Replay
Saves a replay file of your current run.
- Save previous replay
Saves a replay file of the run before you last pressed Give Up.
- Menu
Opens the Pause Menu in-game.
- Show/Hide Interface
Toggles the visibility of the interface (timer, checkpoint deltas, etc).
- Show/Hide Names
Toggles the visibility of name tags above ghosts and opponent cars.
- Show/Hide Scores
Show the live leaderboard.

Cycle through leaderboard pages.

Takes a screenshot of the game and saves it to the ScreenShots folder.

Also called “cam 7”. Allows free camera movement. Press again to be able to drive.

Whether to show other players by default. You can toggle this with O while playing.

Set if default or alternate cam 1/2 is selected on first press of the camera button.
- Player visibility for cockpit view
This option controls your view in “cam 3”, the view inside the car. You have three possible options:
- Opaque: Shows the car.
- Transparent: Shows the car but in a transparent way.
- Old: “old” refers to the way it used to be in the previous Trackmania games, it doesn’t show the car at all. Note that you won’t be able to see your speed with this option.
- Visibility of roadside spectators
These “spectators” are humanoid models placed alongside the road that sometimes show, especially during competitions.
- Show special blocks messages
Messages like “Fragile”, “Slow Motion”, etc.
- Always display records
If this is enabled, you can always see the world records of a track before getting the author time.
- Enable map editor quick start
Toggle if Quick Start is active. Only compatible with Standard or Club.
- Use gamepad
Automatically select keyboard/gamepad with Quick Start.
- Use advanced editor
Automatically select simple/advanced editor.
